Boulder County Fiction Writers is a weekly meeting of writers focused on producing high quality, salable commercial fiction. We gather to encourage and hone craft and technique.  This is a critique group, not an instructional writing class, nor a support group.

Our members are award-winning writers, both published and soon-to-be-published, who strive for excellence in writing by offering and accepting criticism on original work from fellow group members. We welcome people who are serious about publishing their writing, and who are working diligently toward that goal.

This group has been in existence since 1990 and the process for acquiring a seat at our table has transformed over the years. If you are curious as to how to join our group, please click here

If this will be your first experience participating in a critique group we are probably not the group for you. Giving and receiving criticism is a developed skill just like deepening point of view, writing three dimensional characters, and plotting. The good news . . . it is a skill that can be learned. And what we have learned is that critiquing and writing have a symbiotic and exponential relationship. As your critiquing skills grow so will your writing.
